Why are Canadians charged for protecting their homes?

I think it was Mark Twain who once said, ''...sometimes the law is an ass.''
I say that to say this;
Canadian police officers are by law, forced to arrest anyone who has hurt someone else, while committing a crime.
Last friday, a young man in Hull, Quebec, along with 4 of his criminal buddies tried to break into a house.
They were met by a man armed with a knife, who used it with deadly force.
And in Toronto, this past summer, a grocery store owner and 2 of his co-workers charged, after they caught a thief, tied him up and held him for police.
They were charged but recently,thankfully were found not guilty of assault and forcible confinement.
What is going on?
Why are innocent people being charged for protecting themselves?
We are, may I suggest, left too our own defences, because our justice system has be come the ass.
We're not trained, we use too much force, and suddenly, we're in trouble.
In hindsight, most of us, would likely        not be as aggressive, but in the moment with emotions high, and fear being what it is, you do what you've got to do.
The bad guys know, it's going to be an easy ride, and in that vicious circle we, the people end up taking the law into our hands, because hey, if no one else is standing up for me, I guess I've got to;
So wrong, but I get it.

Breaking up with someone? What not to do.

We humans are a funny lot, huh?

...especially when it comes to our relationships.

I recently came across a piece on how to break up and got to thinking about girls I have known.

How about you; dating someone?

How is it going?

...not well??

How are you going to tell him, it's over?

Will you tell the truth or lie.

No one has a good enough memory to be a good liar, so I guess it's gotta be the truth, huh?

I have lied.

I don't like it; I feel like a bozo, but I hate the heat that comes with the truth.

But I've been lied to and I hated it because I knew I was being handed a line and thought, ''...come on soon to be ex-girlfriend, I'm smarter than you're giving me credit for, give it to me me straight.''

If you're thinking about breaking off with someone, the advice from the experts is to not ever say, not ever, ''...it's me, not you''.

Those words will want to come out, but they are sooo transparent.
.
..and please avoid, ''...I just want to be friends.''

Girls, us guys know what that really means.

breakupgirl.net is a website that offers advice of how to get out of a relationship.

White lies are o-k if you've only been dating a short time and regardless of how long you've been together, don't ever tell a whopper, because then you have to work like the devil to keep it going and guys, women are soooo much smarter.

They start to ask questions and before long, with the memories they've got, you will be so done, standing there, mouth agap, looking like a fish on the end of a hook, desparately wishing an earthquake would suddenly happen, to end the madness!

The sole goal of any lie in a relationship, should be to prevent hurt.

Never should it be, to get YOU out of anything.

And the deeper you're in a relationship, the more you have to tell the truth.

Knowing the reason a relationship is ending, saves the one being tossed under the bus the angst of asking that one question that keeps us up at night, makes us lose weight and drives us nuts.

...why??

And sometimes there's no answer to that one, and that's when it ok for you to say to yourself,  ''...IT IS YOU, IT'S NOT ME!!''

Letter to Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff

Just sent a letter to Canadian Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff about his comments relating to killer Russel Williams and how he has helped hurt the connection Canadian women have to the men in their lives.

Hello;

I believe you are offside on the matter of Russel Williams.

Williams is a seriously twisted individual.

To suggest the trust of Canadian women in men has been compromised by the horrors he committed shows a stunning disconnect. In the real world, men and women are talking to each other about this.

They, like you are in the dark about what motivated him.

Real men love, honor and care for the women in their lives daily and nothing this guy did will compromise that.

We are all impacted sir. To suggest women are so fragile in their relationships with the men in their lives, reveals something not good about your perspective of Canadians.

Thanks

Murray Sherriffs

Sure feels good to be human

Murray Moment
Miners, October 18, 2010
Good morning everyone;

Well here we are, a week tomorrow from that day when mother earth gave birth to those miners down in chile.

...makes you feel pretty good, huh?

Worst case scenario would have seen wives mourning; mothers crying for their babies, children asking ''where's dad?,  "when's dad coming home?

Instread of slowly starving to death, they're laughing and crying and hugging, giving thanks and maybe even having a couple of ''cerbesa''.

Do you remember 7 year old Omar Reygadas?

Did you see his tears and them hug, when dad stepped out of the capsule?

And how about Mario Sepul-veda!!

...the 2nd guy out of the mine.

When he first saw the light at the end of the tunnel, from the cage, as it rose from the depths, he started yelling; ''I'm coming." I'm almost there".

And when he stepped out, he led his rescuers in a fist-pumping celebration of the heart, handing them rocks he brought with him from down there, just so happy to be alive.

Do you believe in miracles?

Yup!!

The human spirit triumped and all the hope, trust and spirituality wrapped up in each of us sure makes me feel good to call them one of us.

Last word from Mario;

''...I met God. I met the devil and God won.''

Yeah baby!!!
